Welcome Back

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2022-23 school year! I hope your summer vacation has been relaxing, filled with adventures, good health and quality time with family and friends.
We look forward to welcoming you all on Monday 5th September at 8.00 am in the Hall for our brief School Opening Ceremony.

I have always found the start of the school year to generate much enthusiasm and energy. As I reflect on this past year, I am reminded of the BIJS’s vision and mission – to lay the foundation for quality learning to enable pupils to succeed in the ever-changing global context. With that said, I am incredibly thankful for the teachers’ commitment – they’ve been in all week, buzzing with excitement about getting their classrooms ready for their new students. I am grateful to the PTA and thank them in advance for their engagement this coming year. Only through strong community partnerships can we provide our students with real-world nurturing and innovative experiences.
We remain committed to ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all students, staff and community members. Thus, we look forward to your support in ensuring children/household members who show symptoms of COVID are tested before entering school.
Looking ahead to the 2022-23 school year, my goals include increasing engagement opportunities with students, staff and parents. I will be working closely with the Student Council to hear directly from them about their school experiences and ways we can improve. I will also liaise with our PTA Committee about the upcoming events.

I would like to encourage you to read through our Parents Welcome Pack enclosed and ensure you have submitted all the required documentation to Mrs Nana-Aisha, our Registrar. Please feel free to contact your student’s classteacher if you have any questions or concerns.

In closing, I would like again to welcome everyone to the 2022-23 school year and share that we are all excited and looking forward to seeing our students.

Thank you for your continued support!

Yours sincerely,
Ms Manda
Head of School
